Augustin Wiedemann was the 1992 winner of the 6th International Guitar Competition held in Havanna, Cuba and performed as a soloist in most European countries, USA, South Corea, Russia and Cuba as well as with diverse orchestras including the “Members of the Munich Philharmonic”. Alongside his classical concerts, Augustin Wiedemann also plays in the crossover-project “Classic meets Soul” with jazz singer and guitarist Kosho (member of the most successful German Hip Hop/Rockband “Söhne Mannheims”). Frequently he is invited to be a jury member at international competitions such as "Concurso Andres Segovia" (Linares/Spain), "GFA Young Artists Competition" and others.
Augustin Wiedemann was teaching at the Salzburg Mozarteum and as visiting professor at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm/Sweden. Currently he teaches as professor for guitar and chamber music at Stella Vorarlberg Privathochschule für Musik in Feldkirch/Austria and works as the CEO of the “Hermann Hauser Guitar Foundation”.
